In this section, various report types that have been defined in the application can be assigned to the roles. The report type assignment to a role can be single or multiple report types. As a typical example, let’s say a company has defined two report types - Corporate and Project. Now the company may create three different roles – Corporate, Project, and All. In the Corporate role, the corporate report type is assigned. In the Project role, the Project report type is assigned. In the All role, the Corporate & Project report types are assigned. Now, when a user’s profile is assigned the All role, that particular user will have the choice of both Corporate and Project report types.

To assign the report types to the role click on the "Masters" tab --> select the "Role Report Type Mapping" as shown below.

On the role report type mapping screen, select the role and then click on the Get Report Type Details button as shown below.

It will show the list of all Report Types then by checking on the checkboxes you can select the report type(s) to be mapped to the selected role and click on the Save button.

Once you have mapped the Report Types to the Role then log in as a user (who is assigned to that specific role to which report type(s) are mapped) --> click on the Create Expense Reports button provided on the home screen  --> check the Report type list and verify the mapped Report Type(s) are visible to the user.

In this case we have mapped only the Corporate Report Type to the user's role, hence the user can see only the Report Type as "Corporate".
